Richard D. Miles

Mr. Miles joined Berkshire in 1998 and has over 50 years of industry experience. While a Partner at the firm, he co-led Berkshire’s securities industry practice. He became a Senior Advisor in 2018 and will continue to support business development efforts across the firm’s practice areas.

Dick was formerly President and Chief Operating Officer of Butcher and Company, following his tenure as Chief Financial Officer of Butcher & Singer, Inc., its brokerage subsidiary. Dick also spent ten years in London with Merrill Lynch & Co., where as a Managing Director in the Capital Markets Group, he held a variety of management, marketing and transaction execution responsibilities. He began his career in corporate finance at Kuhn, Loeb & Co.

Dick is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. Following service as a Lieutenant, USN, he received his MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Dick is a Director of The Pennsylvania Trust Company and Clark Capital Management Group.
