    Union Investment TFI is Poland’s 6th largest asset management company with €3.3bn of assets under management. It has approximately 135,000 retail investors and 550 institutional investors and boasts a broad range of fund products across equities, fixed income and absolute return. Union Investment TFI has its own internal fund manufacturing capabilities as well as other investment solutions.

    Headquartered in Trieste, Italy, Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. or simply Generali is an Italian insurance company, the largest in Italy and third in the world. Generali is a multinational group present in almost 60 countries, with more than 400 companies and nearly 71,000 employees. Generali provides property and casualty insurance to retail and corporate clients as well as life insurance products, and it is also active in the pension fund segment in Poland and CEE.

    Transaction Summary
    The acquisition of Union Investment TFI will significantly strengthen Generali’s presence in Poland. With this transaction, Generali strengthens its asset management position in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) as part of an ongoing initiative to seek growth opportunities in CEE.
