They specialise in listed asset classes including Australian equities, international equities, global infrastructure and global property. Established in 2011, Redpoint manages approximately AUD$10 billion for institutional and retail clients across a range of strategies.

    Buyer Details:
    GSFM was established in July 2007 as a subsidiary of the Grant Samuel Group. In November 2016 CI Financial Corp (CI) purchased an 80 per cent stake in the business. CI is a diversified wealth management firm with fee-earning assets of CAD$176.7 billion (as of 30 June 2019). GSFM specialises in marketing funds managed by high calibre local and international managers to Australian and New Zealand institutional and Australian retail investors. GSFM currently represents more than $6.7 billion funds under management (as at 30 June 2019)

    Transaction Summary:
    National Australia Bank was seeking to exit its equity position in Redpoint. Redpoint management approached Berkshire Global to advise them and assist in their search for a new strateigc and distribution partner that could leverage its position in Australia and international markets. CI Financial’s recent investments into the ETF sector also meant strong product synergies with Redpoint which complemented a strong cultural fit. The process was efficiently managed and was completed in under 4 months.
